THE FACES BEHIND ' NEARCTIC DOBERMANNS'.
Ian is a Taxi Driver and I'm a stay at home mum who looks after the dogs, the 150 or so Exhibition budgerigars and of course not forgetting Daniel.
Ian already had two dobermanns called Duke and Remi when we first started going out together. This was my first meeting with a dobermann it was their wonderful loyal characters that I came to love so much. So when we were married in 1989 Ian suggested adding another dobie to the family and this didn't meet with any resistance from me. Having attended some shows we were now both 'bitten' by the showing game and decided that we would also like to establish our own kennel. We visited a great friend Fiona Field who was already very established in the showing faternity and at the time had one of the Top Stud Dogs for the breed, who later went on to be the Top Stud Dog All Breeds in 1993. We told Fiona that we wanted a bitch to be the foundation for our new kennel and we would like it to be out of her dog CH. HOLTZBURG MAYHEM - THE BOSS to his friends
.A month or more passed when we received a call from Fiona to say that she had found two bitches in two different litters for us to view. We went up the motorway to Clayton le Woods with great excitement, viewed the girls and two weeks later we had our foundation bitch - ZARLEON HEAVEN SCENT~ our girl Rio. You can share in more of the story of Rio on the page dedicated to our special girl.
A little later and quite by accident we add JOWENDY'S HOOLIGAN or Mea to the family another lovely daughter of The Boss.It is these two girls who produced us some wonderful dobies and there isn't a day goes by that we don't think about them.
Of course the success our Kennel has achieved so far wouldn't have happened without two of the greatest friends anyone could ever have the late, great Fiona Field and a lady who is always there when ever we need her most like a TRUE friend always is - Wendy Burge of the Jowendy Kennel .~ Thankyou.
