This booklet is aimed at providing you the potential purchaser of a dobermann puppy with information regarding the breed, questions to ask yourself before approaching a breeder, questions to ask a breeder, things to look for when you visit a breeder and as much information as I can possibly think of after 12 years of breeding this wonderful breed. It is by no means a comprehensive document as I don't pretend to know it all and nor is it legally binding it is purely for information only. I wish it to be a useful aid to those purchasing puppies and in particular dobermanns in the hope that one day dobermann rescue and rehoming won't be so busy dealing with dogs that wouldn't have needed their help if the right questions had been asked in the first place.
