THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF TWO GREAT STUD DOGS - THANKS BOYS WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU

Champion Holtzburg Mayhem and his son Champion Jowendys Kilowatt were two of the breeds great stud dogs. They decended from a line of outstanding stud dogs all of whom made their mark on the breed.

I am not going to rattle on here about the beautiful dogs and bitches they produced because I am bound to offend someone by missing their dog out as they both produced many shining examples of the breed.

This is purely our personal story of Boss and Jaffa and how they will stay in our hearts forever.

THE BOSS ~ when ever we visited Fiona Boss would be either outside strutting his stuff or stood at the top of the stairs in eager anticipation contemplating whether or not we had bought him a lady friend - much to Boss's disappointment we never did as everything we had was a daughter of his. He was a character and a half ~ a truely noble animal who knew how good he was.

There are so many memories of Boss that we carry with us every day but I guess the main one that sticks with us and brings a tear to the eye every time we speak of it, would be Boss's last appearance in public just before his 10th birthday at the Midland Dobermann Club Parade of Champions . Unfortunately, Fiona never got to see this but we are sure that she would have been overwhelmed at the cheer which greeted Boss as he entered the ring that day. What made this moment so special is that for once in the dog showing world all the people in that hall that day were united in paying respect to a great dog who had done so much for our breed. This was to be a fitting end for a great ambassador for only a short while after his appearance he went to be where he belonged by Fiona's side in heaven.

BOSS IN HIS PRIME

JAFFA AND WENDY

Jaffa was a different character to his dad he was so laid back and took everything in life in his stride but he also had a cheeky side to his character which was so endearing.

A wonderful memory we have of Jaffa took place when we visited Wendy's one day to see a litter of puppies she had at the time. We were talking in the door way to the whelping room when Jaff came running up. Wendy immediately knew that he had been up to something and asked him what was going on? "I bet you have been chasing those geese again havn't you ?" Wendy said as Jaffa sat down at the side of her looking as though butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. We carried on talking when all of a sudden Jaffa took a deep breath and blew a load of feathers out of the corner of his mouth and looked very pleased with himself. It was just like one of those old Tom and Jerry cartoons ~ very comical!
We used Jaffa twice at stud to our girl Rio and they produced wonderful litters together. We owe alot to this super boy not least the lovely characters that we have in our kennel today. We miss you very much Jaffa and know that your mum does too .
